Daily 5

It's my third week doing the Daily 5 in my classroom with the students trained and giving me the opportunity to pull small groups. I look forward to this time, because the students are all on task, quiet, doing meaningful work and I have the opportunity to work with five to six students at a time. The best part was hearing another student say he was hoping to do read to self so he could read his new book. I look forward to hearing my students share what they did during Daily 5. It is so wonderful to hear the children talk about a book they just read, a story they wrote or what they did in a small group with the assistant teacher or myself.
